Riverside Touring Park is
a tranquil site on the side of a small river, hard
standings toilet and shower on the main site and on the
CL. This is just a lovely quiet adult only site
maintained to a very high standard. Basic but clean facilities are
reflected in the very reasonable nightly fees. The site is split
into two parts by a hedge, one for Caravan Club members only and one
open to none members. Nicely landscaped with the river running
through the back of the site. Hard standing pitches with an odd
grass pitch, all well spaced and with electric hook ups. WiFi is
available on site for a small additional charge. There is a nice pub
just down the road in the village that serves meals and a great
selection of real ales. The nearest big shopping town with a
Supermarket is Penrith.

After Site Visit
We would recommend this site to anyone who is looking for
a quiet relaxing break for a weekend or a long stay on an adult only
campsite in Cumbria. The toilet and shower
facilities are just one per section so just two in total but this
doesn't seem to cause any problems or queuing and the toilets we
found to be exceptionally well maintained and cleaned. Exceptional
value for money for a relaxing break and the local pub is well worth
a visit for a drink or a meal. Please mention Adult Campsites when booking. |

Horns
House Farm is an adults only site one acre hideaway set
well back off the road. If you are looking for a small
exceptionally well landscaped and maintained site with
both hard standings and grass pitches this is the one
for you. Located in a secluded area, a nice little
hideaway this adult only one acre site accommodates
caravans and motorhomes and offers electric hook-ups
toilets and showers. Approximately 0.5 miles to the
nearest pub, restaurant and shop. Horn House adults only
caravan park is a Caravan Club CL and as such is for
members only.

The site is a little gem, the photos
don't do it justice. beautifully landscaped and clearly
well maintained, probably one of the best kept C.L's we
